Classic New York Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

Instructions:


1. Make the crust:

   - First, we need to mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a big bowl. 

   - Then, we take a 9-inch round cake pan and press the mixture into the bottom. This will be our crust! 

   - Let’s bake it in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Then, let it cool.


2. Make the filling:

   - In another big bowl, we’ll mix the cream cheese until it’s smooth. You can use a mixer or a big spoon!

   - Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and mix it all together.

   - Now, let’s add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. 

   - Finally, stir in the sour cream until everything is nice and smooth.


3. Combine and bake:

   - Pour the filling over the cooled crust in the cake pan.

   - Bake it in the oven at 325°F (160°C) for about 1 hour. It should be set but still a little jiggly in the middle.


4. Cool and chill:

   - After baking, turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for about an hour. 

   - Then, put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to chill. This makes it super yummy!


5. Serve:

   - When you’re ready to eat, you can slice it up and enjoy it plain or with some fruit on top!
