Banana Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions:
1. Mash the Banana: First, take your ripe banana and put it in a bowl. Use a fork to mash it up until it’s all squishy and smooth. This is going to make our pancakes sweet and yummy!
2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In the same bowl, add the egg and the milk. Stir everything together until it’s all mixed up nicely.
3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar (if you want it sweeter), baking powder, and salt. This is our dry mix!
4. Mix Everything Together: Now, pour the dry mix into the bowl with the wet mix. Stir it gently until it’s just combined. It’s okay if there are a few lumps; we don’t want to stir too much!
5. Heat the Pan: Ask an adult to help you heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. Add a little butter or oil to the pan so the pancakes don’t stick.
6. Cook the Pancakes: Once the pan is hot, pour a small scoop of the pancake batter onto the pan. Cook it for about 2-3 minutes until you see bubbles on the top. Then, flip it over and cook for another 1-2 minutes until it’s golden brown.
7. Serve and Enjoy: Keep cooking the rest of the batter. You can stack the pancakes on a plate and add some extra banana slices or syrup on top if you like!
